Have you ever spent lots of time and money on something and it turns out just aweful? That happened when I tried to make a Dark Magician Girl hologram! The good news is that the rest of the holograms are looking good.
Me and a friend went to Akihabara (electric town Japan), where every nerd, geek and antisocial weirdo can have a good time looking at all the cool toys & electronics there. I brought my DMG costume there and hired a girl to be a model for a few minutes to turn into a hologram, as well as bought some more parts for hologram prototypes.

Before I thought that straight up card recognition would be near impossible with today’s algorithms, but then I realized if we can match just the cards in the exact same position every time, with no backgrounds, distance or angle differences, it may not be as difficult as I originally thought. I ran some initial tests with one of my old vision recognition program that I modified for cards and it is working well in the tests. Instead of a straight up webcam, for now I ordered the
